Being the Change We Wish to See in the World

As a business we have a responsibility to be the change that we wish to see in the world.

I wholeheartedly believe that every choice we make has an impact. We vote every single day with our dollar by supporting the kind of world which we’d like to live in. We may feel like we are just one little person, but this is so far from the truth. Our choices matter. And it’s the seemingly insignificant choices which matter the most. Such as what brand of moisturiser we choose to purchase, or toothpaste, or toilet paper, or t-shirt.

By purchasing a product we are saying to that company “keep on doing what you’re doing”. If we would like a different kind of world then the best place to start, is with our self.

At Be Genki we care about the integrity of each product so we only choose the highest quality ingredients with as minimal interference from man, as possible.

You as the consumer wouldn’t know the difference from the label or marketing as it would say, for example - avocado oil - but there’s a VERY big difference between organic, unrefined, cold-pressed, unbleached avocado oil that has a deep rich cloudy dark green colour delivering remarkable benefits to the skin; as opposed to a translucent deodorised avocado oil grown with the use of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides that delivers far less benefits as well as harmful effects to your health (due to toxic residue from conventional farming practices).

We care about the way the plants are cultivated because this impacts your skin, your health and the Earth.

That’s why we only choose organic or wild crafted ingredients for EVERY SINGLE OIL, HERB AND BOTANICAL EXTRACT. Why? Because we care about the current threat to the bees. We care about the degradation of the soil. We care about our farmers. We care about the fact that our waterways (rivers and oceans) are polluted.

If we were to take a shortcut and make Be genki products with conventionally grown oils, herbs, extracts and essential oils, you as the consumer wouldn’t see much difference on the label as we could still say that the product was 100% natural and our profit margins would certainly increase BUT the bees would suffer, the Earth would suffer, the waterways would suffer, and your skin and long term health would also suffer. We do not support the use of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides whatsoever, used in conventional farming and present in the majority of natural products.

We care about the energy that we transfer in to each product because we want you to receive the most beneficial and balanced products possible.

Just think for a second ... If you are in a good mood and you have an encounter with someone who is angry, most often the case is that your energy will be affected. Perhaps you will walk away feeling angry too. Or frustrated or annoyed. Everything has a ripple effect. And everything has consciousness. There are numerous scientists and physicists who have proven the consequence of intention when meditating with water and how it changes the chemical structure of the water.

That’s why we choose to place our oils within a giant amethyst crystal cave for 24 hours to cleanse and purify them, and then we make the conscious choice to blend and pour the products after a meditation when feeling joyful.

We care about our packaging choices.

That’s why we choose Miron glass to preserve the life-force of the product’s ingredients so they remain as fresh as possible for as long as possible.

Did you know that experiments were done in 2003, 2004 and 2008 by Hugo J Niggli that showed violet glass preserves the stored solar energy - biophotons - of oil and herbs much better than clear, green, blue and brown glass?

"Products stored in violet glass retain more biophotons and as a result have a higher inner quality and can be kept longer without the addition of chemicals."

- Biophotons. Source of Light for Energy and Wellbeing by Yvonne Sangen and Karin Tazelaar

Not much of this can be seen on an ingredient label. It’s very easy to cut corners. It all comes back to this -- what’s the intention with the business?

We care...about EVERY single choice we make so that we can truly be the change that we wish to see in the world, and enable our customers to also be the change by choosing Be Genki.

Offering everyday products at fair prices.

Surprisingly simple.  Remarkably effective.
