The secret to healthy glowing skin.

Clean, clear, beautiful skin is something that most of us desire and strive to attain. Whether you’re trying to prevent blemishes, pigmentation, prolong the ageing process, or a more serious skin condition, there are a number of key factors that influence the health and beauty of your skin regardless of your age or concern.

Women with beautiful glowing skin aren't just lucky. They are also very disciplined about caring for it from the inside AND the outside, knowing that healthy skin is achieved via good nutrition, effective skin care, and various lifestyle do's and dont's.

Your skin is a highly complex functioning organ that reflects your total health and wellbeing, and absorbs approximately 70% of what you put on it. Therefore it is essential to feed your skin with natural plant extracts that help to promote a clean, clear and glowing complexion.

Before purchasing any skin care product, read the label to ensure that it contains natural ingredients only.

The Bad News

The truth is that the majority of bath, body and beauty care products, even those advertised as natural or organic, contain ingredients that are linked to ageing of skin, cancer, birth defects, infertility, dermatitis and other allergens, and respiratory disorders. Although the percentage of these potentially harmful ingredients is low in each individual product, the accumulation and toxic build-up from using a number of products over time is the significant issue. It is highly likely that the natural ingredients advertised on the front of the label comprise only a tiny fraction of the whole product.

The Good News

Times are changing, and it seems as though it won’t be too long before genuine natural and organic cosmetics become the norm. Beauty pages are filled with articles detailing the benefits of botanical ingredients and natural brands are slowly claiming more and more square metres within retail environments. From my point-of-view this is fabulous! Not only does it indicate that we are all becoming more aware of what we should be using on our skin, but it also means that there’s more choice out there and that brand manufacturers are having to step up to the demands of a more educated consumer.

Maintaining the health of your skin helps to promote the health of the rest of your body and mind. Maintaining the health of your body and mind helps to promote healthy glowing skin. This holistic point-of-view can be the solution to all your skin problems, as well as helping you to feel great.

    Hi Anna,
There are no contra-indications with the herbs and breastfeeding, so, yes, you can take BALANCE whilst breastfeeding. It is however such a personal choice in terms of pregnancy and breastfeeding with every woman taking a different approach. So, if ever in doubt, please do consult with your health care practitioner, and choose what feels best for you.
