Everybody Loves the Sunshine artfully combines four moisturizing oils with fourteen super sun- and skin-loving essential oils. Essential oils are the distillates of plants that contain the vital essences of their parent plant matter. High concentrations of sun-friendly flavonoids and carotenoids lend rich colors to some of these robust essences. TRIED AND TESTED
This is one of my all-time favourites from Living Libations. For years, we have been repeatedly told that the sun is bad for us, so much so, that many of us live in fear of the sun and take synthetic vitamin D supplements to offset the imbalance that has come about. The fact is, that the majority of all living things require sun to survive. Including our beautiful bodies. The key and most important point to remember about sunshine is balance, and using your common sense to avoid getting sun damage. This is where the Everybody Loves the Sunshine comes in ... it is my go-to product for preparing my skin before heading out in the sunshine. It soaks in. It provides natural protection for my olive sun-loving skin. And it deliciously hydrates, softens and nourishes. BUT ... if I am going to be in the sun during the for long periods of time (which is rarely, as I'm not that foolish) I apply a zinc-based sunscreen. But the reality is, that, even when I'm on holidays soaking up the sunshine on a tropical island or Middle East desert (two of my favourite holiday destinations), my husband and I head indoors during the middle of the day for a long lunch so that we don't fry and frazzle our beautiful bodies, so ... I often find that this beautiful oil is just the right sun solution for me. And ... I don't ever get sunburnt with this tactic. I also LOVE to apply this beautiful oil after being out in the sunshine too.
